Interfacial Diffusion Fronts and Gradient Percolation

When two materials are placed in contact with one another, an interface forms between them. The nature of the interface is important in determining a variety of properties of the system, such as adhesion strength, mechanical strength, thermal expansion, electrical conductivity, etc.
