Abstract
The previous chapters in Section Two have examined the various LIMS functions. Comparisons of commercial LIMS functions have been used to illustrate the use of and differences between the functions. In Chapter 10 we will describe the LIMS supervisory functions. As we’ve seen thus far, the purpose of a LIMS package is to manage sets of data and information about users, samples, test methods, sample types, instrument types, and other things found in a laboratory environment.
