The Lyt antigens clearly divide thymocytes and T cells into a number of subpopulations (1) Lyt 1+ 2- 3- cells (Lyt 1) can easily be distinguished from Lyt 1+ 2+ 3+ (Lyt 123) cells with antibodies directed against Lyt 2, either by fluorescence (2,3) or cytotoxicity (1).
