Summary

Splenocytes after partial hepatectomy, nephrectomy, resection of small intestine and massive haemorrhage acquire the ability to transfer regeneration information to nonoperated syngenic recipients, that is, to increase proliferation in their corresponding organs. This phenomenon is biphasic, later the splenocytes become capable of suppressing proliferation. The unilateral (12–48 h) and bilateral nephrectomy (1–4 h) cause increase of immune response to the sheep’s erythrocytes. These changes were also biphasic. Extirpation of the salivary gland (4–17 h) and spleen resection (17–168 h) reduce the number of antibody forming cells.
