The Pedicled Greater Omentum in Reconstructive Surgery Following Treatment of Certain Cancers
Since 1963 after Kiricuta, the use of the greater omentum (G.O.) has taken a large place in repair following surgery of cancer, essentially for defects in irradiated areas but also for fistulae closure, amputated breasts reconstruction and as a cover of large non-irradiated tumoral resection areas.
