Part of the Nato ASI Series book series (NSSA, volume 7)

The genus Tylenchorhynchus was proposed by Cobb (1913). Filip’ev (1934) proposed a new subgenus Bitylenchus under the genus Tylenchus, which he later synonymized with Tylenchorhynchus. Jairajpuri (1982) resurrected Bitylenchus as a subgenus and Siddiqi (1986) recognized it as a genus.
