Abstract
A slight elevation of urinary oxalate is more important as a risk factor for stone-formation than a corresponding rise in the urinary Ca. Therefore, dietary restriction of oxalic acid-rich foods for calcium oxalate stone-formers is an important measure in the prevention of stone recurrences. There is often disagreement on those foods that have to be restricted or avoided by stone-formers.
