Recent Developments in the Description of the NNπ System

Abstract

A survey is given of recent developments in the description of the NNπ system. Starting from a non-relativistic potential model for πd-induced reactions we discuss covariant potential models, field theories where pion-absorption channels are included and finally the role of extraneous degrees of freedom, such as vectormesons.
