Abstract

The diagenetic scheme of basin sediments discussed in the preceding chapters is a general one and, for this reason, varies to a greater or lesser extent in different environmental types of basins. These variations have to do both with the diagenetic formation of minerals and with the redistribution of material during diagenesis.
