For me, the opportunity to summarize is an opportunity rather to generalize. First, however, I want to call attention to what I thought was the beginning step in the impulse-based part of the program, and that was, in the classic British tradition, Sydney Sunderland’s definitive exposition of the anatomical organization of the vertebral column and its relation to the spinal cord and the roots, forming the peripheral nervous system for the body. It was a beautiful presentation of fundamental material relevant to the whole substance of what is going on in and is envisioned for the future in spinal manipulative therapy.
