Radionuclide Imaging — A Quick Scan Through

  • J. A. McIntosh

Radionuclides have been used diagnostically as a clinical aid for more than thirty years but their usefulness has greatly increased since instruments such as rectilinear scanners and Anger Gamma Cameras were first developed less than twenty years ago. The technique of radio nuclide scanning consists of drawing out the distribution of radioactivity within the body after the administration of a radiopharmaceutical.
