Preliminary Results from CDF on W,Z Production at the Tevatron Collider
CDF is a general purpose detector featuring highly segmented electro-magnetic and hadronic calorimetry over a large region of pseudorapidity and magnetic analysis for charged tracks in the central region. The detector is shown schematically in Figure 1. The details of the detector are discussed in a series of papers to be published.(Reference2) The full detector was operational for the 1987 Collider run with the exception of the higher level triggers and half of the sampling layers in the forward hadron calorimeters.
