Photon Hard-Scattering in the NA14 Experiment

In hard-scattering processes it is desirable to deal directly with the colliding partons in order to avoid complications due to the structure and fragmentation functions. One way is to consider the jets themselves. Another possibility is to observe prompt photons, either virtual (Drell-Yan) or real.
