Direct Photon Physics from R 806, R 807, R 808

Abstract

In this paper I review the contributions of the groups R806, R807, and R808 to direct photon physics, starting with the early R806 systematic studies which clearly demonstrated the existence of high P t direct photon production, and ending with the recent gluon form factor determination from photon-jet correlations.
