I want to make a couple of comments first. I am really glad that Dr. Barness brought out the important point about the psychological value of nutritional aspects. We can talk all you want about the research, but as far as what goes on after the research, it’s very important that we all have our treatment modalities together. When we are talking with the patient, we must remember the psychological value. Also, about studies to be done in the future, as far as drug interactions with dietary intake: since dialysis patients are on so many drugs, it would be very important to study this further. I do have a couple of questions. Do you recommend that these patients be supplemented with zinc even though their zinc levels are normal?
