Abstract
With the failure of the program of local hidden variables theories, it is reasonable to return to the naive view that the pure quantum state of a system gives a complete description of the (non-relational) properties of the system. If so, then this complete description is characterized by objective indefiniteness in certain respects and objective probability of the outcomes in case — somehow — the indefinite properties are actualized. Hence, the state of a physical system is not just a catalogue of actualities, as in classical physics, but is also a network of potentialities (to use Heisenberg’ s word).
