The Effect of Hard Segment Content on a Cross-Linked Polyurethane RIM System

Since the development of the Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) process for the manufacture of segmented polyurethane systems and possible use of such polymers in the automobile industry, much emphasis has been placed on the study of property-structure relationships of these polymers.1–20 The goal of this study is to understand and thus optimize physical property characteristics of such systems containing ethylene glycol as a chain extending agent.
