Angular Correlation between Annihilation Products and Kα X Ray in pp̄ Annihilation at Rest
If a Kα ray of the quasi atomic protonium system is detected, the annihilation occurs from the fundamental state which is either a 1S° or a 3S1 state. It is obvious that the annihilation from the 1S° state is isotropic. Anisotropy can occur in 3S1 state annihilation if the three magnetic substates m = 1, 0, -1 are not equally populated.
