Role of Isospin in pp̄ Annihilation

Isospin conservation influences the form of quantum spectra as well as the abundance of pions produced in pp̄-annihilation. We quantitatively illustrate the influence of these phenomena on mean pion multiplicities and the apparent primary pion temperature parameter in a fireball model of pp̄-annihilation at moderate energies. Quite surprising agreement with experiment will be found1).
