Theoretical Study of the Optical Properties of Metals
It is well known that the optical properties of metals may be described by a complex refractive index n′ = n - iϰ or surface impedance Z [12, 44]. The relation between the quantities and the microscopic characteristics of the metals is given by the skin-effect theory.
