It is well known that cyclohexane is the simplest representative of the six-member naph-thenes, an important class of hydrocarbons. Hence, a study of the vibrational spectrum of this hydrocarbon is of great significance for understanding the structure of the molecules in other six-membered naphthenes. In addition to this, the cyclohexane molecule has a high symmetry; vibrational calculations have already been carried out for it [27–29], so that it is much easier to interpret the second-order lines in the vibrational spectra of this molecule.
