Concentration Dependence of the Time Characteristics of the Phosphors CsI-Tl and KI-Tl
As already indicated in the introduction, the scintillation characteristics of alkali iodides have been studied by a number of authors as functions of activator concentration, temperature, exciting-particle energy, and exciting-particle ionization density. The attenuation time of the scintillations in NaI-Tl was studied in and found to vary in a nonmonotonic manner; the growth time was also determined for this phosphor.
