The Experience and the Expectations of Achondroplastic Subjects During the Period of Surgical Lengthening

Abstract

The aim of the research was to examine the psychological effect that surgical lengthening of the lower limbs has upon achondroplastic subjects (2, 3, 4, 5); in particular the study was focused on the personality of the achondroplastic subjects, on the subjective experience of the lengthening during the period of physiotherapy and on their expectations related to the surgical operation.
