Spectrographic Analysis of Inhaled Air Pollutants in Lung Tissue

Abstract

The lungs of animals exposed to air pollutants in city air and animals exposed to clean filtered air only were analyzed and the results compared. A semiquantitative emission spectrographic method for the determination of 18 trace metallic elements and 5 major constituent elements of lung- tissue ash was used.
