Part of the Developments in Applied Spectroscopy book series (DAIS, volume 5)

A gas chromatographic system is presented for analyzing samples containing hydrogen or helium as well as other volatile compounds, The simultaneous injection of portions of a sample into two identical columns, using carrier gases of differing thermal conductivities, gives a chromatogram with good sensitivity and linearity for all components present in the sample.
