Abstract

Earlier experiments have shown that spleen cells isolated from rabbits immunized with alcohol dehydrogenase synthesize antibodies against the enzyme for as long as 50 hours [1,2]. We investigated the influence of various antimetabolites on this antibody synthesis. Among other results, we found a complete inhibition by puromycin and actinomycin D.
