Abstract

The determination of radioactivity with the aid of liquid scintillation counting is particularly suitable when working with weak β-emitters. In metabolic investigations with labeled substances, one must obtain a balance based on the results of radioactivity determinations of the various organs, body fluids, and secretions as well as of the different media of extraction and elution of extraction processes and columnar chromatographic separations.
