Abstract
This session examined Pulmonary Vascular Diseases. We listened to reports regarding pulmonary hypertension and its relationship with hypoxemia and platelet function; we heard about the therapeutic correction of these diseases using therapy tending to modify the noted thrombophilic condition of both the platelet and fibrinogenic systems present in a high percentage of these patients, who, therefore, are also affected with secondary pulmonary hypertension.
