Abstract

Experiments were carried out in molten borax with and without electrolysis. Corrosion relationships were calculated from the results obtained for the groups of materials tested. Oxide-base materials were found to have a resistance considerably lower than that of materials based on the nitrides of boron and silicon. It was found that in each group materials containing silicon have the least resistance.
