Computer Graphics in the United States



In the United States, cathode ray tube graphic terminals have been associated with digital computers for the past decade or so. Initially, the terminals were used in military command and control systems. For example, in the mid-fifties, the SAGE System (an air defense system) used C.R.T. terminals which were not grossly different from present-day units.
