Adenosine and Deoxyadenosine Kinase from Rat Liver

Abstract

Recent studies demonstrated that dATP concentration was markedly increased in erythrocytes from patient with adenosine deaminase deficiency1,2 . Deoxyadenosine is toxic to T lymphoblast in the presence of an inhibitor of adenosine deaminase. By the addition of deoxyadenosine, dATP accumulated in the cell and the level of dATP well corelated with the cytotoxicity4,5.
