Toward an Interdisciplinary Approach

An overview of some fifteen comprehensive papers is difficult. It struck me during the course of the meetings that the problems we are dealing with in aging of the brain are very large issues, and that there is a life span of these natural problems that is much longer than any one of our individual life spans. Some of these problems, therefore, are more suited for institutional development than the development during individual careers. In fact, the productive life span of an individual researcher seems quite short in relation to these problems.
