Many facts have been presented in the preceding chapters which conclusively demonstrate the exceptional importance of the conditions under which regeneration takes place. Their importance is particularly clear in those cases when, by the creation of appropriate conditions, regeneration can be induced in organs which are generally regarded as unable to regenerate.
