Abstract

In order to reach accurate conclusions regarding the nature of the forces operating within complex particles during their formation in solution, we need to know the energy changes accompanying the reactions in question. Instability constants are related directly only to the change in free energy. At the same time it is necessary to know the enthalpy change on complex-formation (the thermal effect) in order to calculate the entropy change on complex-formation, the change in stability of the complex particles with change in temperature, and the bond energy.
