Abstract

The present corrosion program in the sodium loop ML-1 covered up to 9.000 hours with interruptions after each 1.000 hours in order to control the sodium corrosion effects on the tested materials. Shortly before reaching the programmed 9.000 hours a leak was detected in the high temperature test section (700 °C) for which reason it was decided to interrupt the program.
