Abstract

If a particle P r of mass m r moves with velocity r relative to an inertial reference frame, the quantity
$${T^r = {\frac {1}{2}} m_r {\dot x^r} \cdot {\dot x^r} } = {{\frac {1}{2}} m_r ({\dot x^r})^2 }$$
