Reactions of Atoms and Radicals with Ions
Atoms and active free radicals react very rapidly with metal ions and organic ions. Rate constants are measured for these reactions by the same methods applied to the reactions of free radicals with molecules and with each other (see Chapter IV). The errors in measuring the absolute values of the rate constants for reactions of radicals with ions amount to 20–40%.
