Abstract
To the organic chemist, the complications arising from spin—spin splittings are by far the most baffling of all of the aspects of NMR. Not only is he unfamiliar with the concept of spin—spin interaction and the quantum mechanical laws involved, but he is also unfamiliar with the language used to describe the systems and their interactions.
