Water, Electrolyte and Acid-Base Disturbances in Acute Renal Failure

Abstract

A complete anuria(a few milliliters of urine in 24 hrs) is rare in ARF. It may occur in bilateral complete ureteral obstruction, in renal cortical necrosis, in acute glomerulonephritis and in bilateral renal artery occlusion(Andreucci et al., 1984).
