Diffusion Effects at a Bubble—Liquid Interface in a Sound Field

Abstract

Mass transfer across the interface between a bubble and liquid plays an exceedingly important part in the degassing of liquids in a sound field. We propose to examine the specific acoustical effects responsible for the liberation of dissolved gas from the liquid in the form of bubbles and the resulting reduction in its concentration in the liquid.
