Electro-anesthesia, being a growing field, has created a need for improved instrumentation. Most instruments on the market cannot be considered truly portable. Therefore, a new portable battery powered device was designed to meet, as closely as possible, the electrical requirements which are known to cause anesthesia. That is, a sine wave oscillation of approximately 700 Hz, and having an output of at least 12 volts and 12 milliampres.
