Safety is defined in Webster’s Dictionary as “the condition of being safe from undergoing or causing hurt, injury or loss.” This is the name of the game in medical electronics-if we’re going to use diagnostic devices which require potentially hazardous electrical power-don’t shock the patient or the attendants.
