Abstract

From an experimental point of view size selection can be achieved by the Göttingen collisional deflection technique, but sometimes also by purely spectroscopic methods. If the purely spectroscopic approach is possible, one has the big advantage of much stronger signals which renders the use of weak lasers (e.g. FCL, diode laser or cw CO2 laser) possible, too.
