Exercise in Impaired Ventricular Function

Abstract

The concept of comprehensive coronary care is being accepted broadly as a most efficient tool of management of a chronic disease. Cardiac rehabilitation aimed to improve the physiological, psychological and social condition of the patient using a multifactorial therapeutic approach. Physical training is a major component of this approach and therefore it seems of importance whether or not such a measure can be implemented in coronary patients with impaired ventricular function. The aim of the following review is to examine the possible implementation and clinical justification for a physical training program in patients suffering from various degrees of ventricular dysfunction.
