Abstract

The advent of soft ionization techniques like FAB, SSIMS, Plasma Desorption, Laser Desorption has enabled the gas-phase production of ions from organic thermally labile and/or non-volatile molecules. Such ion sources have greatly extended the applications of mass spectrometry.
