The Gravitational Constant G

Abstract

The gravitational interaction between any two particles of matter is stated in Newton’s law of gravitation
$$ F = G\frac{{{m_1}{m_2}}}{{{d^2}}} $$
where F is the force of attraction between any two particles of matter in the universe having masses of m1 and m2, d is the distance between the particles, and G is the constant of proportionality. Gravitational interaction possesses two rather unique properties: great universality and extreme weakness. Both of these features contribute to the difficulty of measuring the gravitational constant, G.
