Influence of a Grid on Ion Currents in He II

Abstract

There is little qualitative information on the influence of the structure of a grid electrode on the behavior of a current beam in an ion cell. This paper presents some work on the interaction of bare ions and charged vortex rings with grids of different mesh size.
