Second-Sound Velocity and Superfluid Density in 4He Under Pressure and Near Tλ
In this paper we present values of the superfluid fraction ρ s /ρ which were derived from precise measurements of the second-sound velocity u 2 in pure 4He.1 These results extend to temperatures very near the superfluid transition temperature T λ and cover the entire pressure range over which the superfluid exists. The data were taken in order to provide further tests of scaling and universality near this line of critical singularities.
