Multilayer Helium Films on Graphite

The λ-point specific heat anomaly for very thin films of helium is known to round, shift to lower temperatures, and finally disappear altogether at a few mono-layers. The superfluid onset shifts in temperature also, but more rapidly with decreasing coverage than the heat capacity peak1–4.
