Abstract

Owing to many investigations and experiments our knowledge of cataract formation has greatly progressed during the past decades. Indeed, the etiology of this disease has received plenty of attention, and the prevailing opinion to date is that every cataract arises in principle as a consequence of a nutritional impairment of whatever kind.
